So back in the summer, Laura and I decided we would join our other friiends and make the haul to Atlanta for the Clemson-Alahama showdown. I am always a little apprehensive when I spend money to follow my beloved Tigers, because I have been letdown several times in the past. And guess what? The Tigers held true to their standards and once again let all the Tiger faithful down.
Anyway, the pregame was a blast. We left Colatown around 8am with Emily and Mimi and made the boring drive to the ATL. After checking into the hotel and freshening up we headed to the nearest MARTA station and headed downtown to the Georgia Dome. Emily was in charge of pre-game activities for The Columbia Fam and she made the right decision to join some other folks from Columbia at Stats. We were unsure of how to get there, but Emily had a GPS on her phone that led us to the right place and just in the nick of time. The line was starting to get long as we got there. We had a good time "bargating" for about 6 hours before the game. It was a great time hanging out with old friends and meeting some new folks.
I wish I could say the outcome of the game was well worth the trip, but we actaully spent more time in the car getting to the game than we did in the game itself. Hopefully, the rest of the season will go a little bit better for the Tigers.
