Pumpkin Carving Time!

Tonight after Mommy had gone to Bible Study and Jac had gone to bed, Daddy and Delainey carved up the Daddy and Mommy pumpkins. Delainey is turning into such a girl as she wanted no part of digging the "guts" out of the pumpkins. She still had fun watching Daddy and was always telling him what to do while he was carving them.

Grandpa Allen meeting Jac for the first time.

"What do you say we go pick out a pumpkin little sister?"

So many to choose from!

"I think this one will do!"

"Where's the pizza?"

Monday was a busy day. Grandpa Allen flew in for a visit so all of the girls went to Charlotte to pick him up. Then I met them at the pumpkin patch to pick out a Daddy pumpkin, a Mommy pumpkin, a daughter pumpkin, and a baby pumpkin. I am surprised we did not end up with pumpkins for the dogs. After the pumpkin patch, we met the Shupings for pizza. It is fun to see Delainey get older and get more into Halloween. Jac really isn't sure about all of this yet, but it will happen with time!

State Fair Time!

Jac is ready for her first State Fair.

Delainey and Mimi riding the Merry-Go-Round.
Delainey riding the Circus Train.

Riding the Dragon rollercoaster.

Feeding some kind of sheep.

Delainey and Daddy riding the elephant.

Delainey riding Dakota the pony.

Delainey petting some baby goats.

Yep, he's milking a goat.

Who doesn't love some baby ducks sliding down into the water?
Delainey rode the ferris wheel with Mimi, Laura, Annah, and Will. It was all I could do to get Laura on the ferris wheel.
Can you imagine how long it took to complete this sand sculpture?
Laura and Delainey enjoying the flowers.
Delainey enjoying a tractor exhibit.

So today was the last day of the SC State Fair and we knew Delainey really wanted to go. So we spent the afternoon their with Mimi and everyone had a really good time enjoying the food, sights, and rides. I think the best part of the fair is the people watching. I mean where do these people come from? The only other time you see people like this is when you go to the DMV.

We were a little dissapointed there were no pig races this year, but we made up for it by watching the Sea Lion show. We got our fill of fair food for the year and are looking forward to the fair coming back next year.

She Needs it to be DARK!

Jac is the silliest baby ever! This is what she looked like while she was taking her morning nap. She has to have it dark, I guess.

Not much going on right now...

Sorry we have been so slack about blogging, but there really hasn't been much going on or we have failed to take our camera to whatever we are doing. We did have a busy weekend. Mimi, Delainey, and Daddy went to Westminister, SC for Mike Jones' 30th birthday. It was good seeing everyone and celebrating Mike's birthday. Sunday we went to church and then enjoyed a great visit with Chris and Jayme Rowland and with the Haig family. Chris and Jayme are expecting their first child and they live in the DC area, so we don't get to see them as much as we should. Then Delainey got to go to Leapin Lizards for Annah's 3rd birthday and she had a blast!

This weekend is another Clemson game and a trip to the fair, so we will keep you posted!
