Baby Liam

The Columbia Fam now has a nephew and cousin. Uncle Patty and Aunt Chelle welcomed William "Liam" Allen to the world and we are so thrilled to have him join our family! Sorry for the quality of the pictures, but they were taken with my cell phone as we forgot the camera. We aren't off to a good start on being a good Uncle and Aunt!

Another First

Jacqueline also started "school" this year. Right now she goes to a drop-in where she can hang out for a few hours while Mommy runs errands and does her real estate thing. As you can see, she had no problems on her first day. Laura put her down and she headed right for the entrance.

New Beginnings

So today was my baby's first day of kindergarten. I know we are just two of the millions of parents who experience this milestone, but WOW, it's a great one! Delainey was a wonderful student. We decided last night what our routine for the morning would be and she stuck to it perfectly! I hope this year proves to be a sturdy foundation for her academic growth. It looks like there are on ly a few girls in her class so they are going to have to bond together and show kindergarten who's boss!
With the dawn of the school year upon us, there are going to be lots of changes in the Oliver house....no, we are not welcoming any new additions!!! We are going to "get back on track" with our schedule, eating habits, working out, being healthy, growing our businesses and serving God. We have been given a lot of challenges recently and we, as a family, are going to work beyond our comfort zones and be a more evangelistic, inviting, Christ-following family. Stay tuned and pray for us....we're gonna need it.



As a side note, while I was posting this blog Jacqueline was "helping" fold clothes. In fact, she must have thought she was better at it than me because some of the clothes I had already folded, she "fixed".

Grammy, Pie and the beach

My parents were staying in Summerville last weekend and they were finished with their meetings on Sat. evening. Last time we went to the beach, Delainey said she wanted Grammy and Pie to come to the beach soon. So, mom and dad stayed in Charleston Sunday and we met them at the beach. I didn't realize until my dad made the comment, but we have never been to the beach with my parents. The girls had a blast with them and so did we. Just to show how brave I've become, I'm posting bathing suit pictures of myself on the blog :).

Vacation Bible School

Delainey has been fortunate enough to attend two Vacation Bible Schools this summer. The first one had a really cute finale, but I forgot my camera. The second was at our church and was the same theme as the first. So, Delainey, being the teacher/leader taught everyone the hand motions to the songs. Jacqueline was content with some animal crackers on the sidelines.
