Not twins...

So my wife thought it would be adorable to dress the girls in the same outfits. I thought that right was only reserved for twins? I guess I was wrong. They are pretty darn cute, aren't they?

Have we always been this busy?

It seems like we never have time to slow down anymore. The past couple of weeks have just been crazy for us! Last weekend we had soccer, help my Mom pack up her house, then we went with Aunt Niki up to Rooftop Rythms, and then Jacqueline made her first appearance at church. Last week was school, work, Bible Study for Laura, and Bunko as well...

This weekend, my Mom moved out of Knightbridge into a her new house. It was sad packing her up and moving all of those memories to a new place. We spent 20+ years at Knightbridge and now it is time for Mom to start a new chapter. She is very excited about getting to make all those decisions about how to decorate her new house. On Sunday, Mom took some time to take Laura and Delainey to see Disney's Princesses on Ice and they had a ball! Delainey has decided she doesn't want to ice skate, but she was amazed by the dragon breathing fire and the inside fireworks.

Jacqueline is growing and growing! She is staying awake more these days and starting to focus on things. We are looking forward to the days ahead!

Hello April!

Things are moving right along for the Columbia fam these days. We are starting to settle into a new routine with Jacqueline being around. Laura is trying to cope with lack of sleep, but she is awesome and hanging right in there! Delainey is being a great big sister and is very watchful of her little sister. I wonder how long it will be before Laura and I hear, "Jacqueline won't leave me alone!"? Me, I am just trying to help out where I can and not cause any disturbances. Jacqueline and I have our time when everyone else goes to sleep and she I settle into the couch for some late night feedings and TV watching.

Jacqueline had her two week visit on Tuesday morning and the doctor said she is perfect! Delainey also had to be checked out just because she was there and she is perfect too! We did add two new additions to our household over the past couple of weeks. Uncle Jack rescued a turtle from a swimming pool and decided it would be a perfect gift for his niece. Delainey named her Susie and she lives in a tank next to the fish. This weekend, Buddy the beagle came to live with us as well. He is a Beagle that we adopted for my Dad several years ago and with Mom moving to a new house, he needed a place to go. Tiger is going crazy with the new baby and having to share what little attention he gets with another dog!

Nothing much else is going on with us. We hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful Spring weather!

What a full house we have...

So we are all back at home now and trying to get settled into some sort of routine. Thankfully, we have wonderful parents and family that are always willing to lend a hand. Laura is doing a great job getting adjusted to the late night feedings and I am just trying to help where I can. Delainey absolutely loves her little sister and is being very over-protective of her. Tiger is very weary of the new addition is not to sure about us getting us in the middle of the night.
Jacqueline is being the perfect baby (knock on wood)! Not to much fussing and is very laid back. We are very thankful the Lord has given us two gorgeous little girls!

Man, are we tired!

I think we forgot how to function on lack of sleep. Tonight is our last night in the hospital and I think our sleeps is more interrupted by the nurses checking on everyone than it is by Jacqueline waking up. Our hospital stay has been very uneventful, but we are ready to go home now. Delainey is ready to show her little sister her new pink room and all of her toys.

We have discovered that Delainey is going to be a very over-protective big sister, so that will be interesting to watch that unfold. Jacqueline has been wonderful and we are very excited to be heading home tomorrow!

She is here!

Jacqueline Marie was born a 1:33pm today. She weighs 7lbs 2 oz and is 19.75 inches long. She has brown hair and blue eyes. Momma and baby are doing just great. Laura did great with the pushing and Jacqueline was out in no time! Delainey loves her baby sister and wants to be the only one that holds her. We will let you know when we are headed home.
