Visit to Beaufort and another 5k
Almost finished!
Finish Line!
Finish Line!
Let's bring out the chalk!
This is the most photogentic kid I know!
Playing on the pirate ship!
Trying to finish dinner so they can have ice cream and cake!
"But she needs her hair done before she goes out!"
We spent this weekend down in Beaufort visting So Happily Us. While we were there, I ran in my second 5k in two weeks. We had a great visit and all the kiddos had a lot of fun together. The two youngest were feeling under the weather most of the weekend, but they were troopers and we all had a good time. There was even some Wii playing involved. Everyone was wonderful in helping me celebrate my 30th birthday as well. It was a great weekend away!

Christmas Day
We had to wake Delainey up on Christmas morning or she might have slept through the day! She must have been worn out from all of the Christmas Eve festivities. We had a great Christmas morning. Jac would have been happy if she had gotten just wrapping paper, but she got a new push car and a little activity table that helps her stand up. D's big present was her Barbie power Jeep. Of course Mimi spoiled the kids and the grandkids as usual. After the Santa presents I fixed french toast, bacon, and eggs for The Columbia Fam, The Seminole Family, and Mimi. Then the unwrapping of the presents began and lasted for a while. At lunch time we went to Mimi's house for lunch with Nanny Gills. It had to be an early night because the girls were getting up early the next morning to start their long drive to Ohio.
By the way, I cannot believe we were in shorts and t-shirts on Christmas Day!

Christmas Eve Tradition
Every year for as long as I can remember, my parents hosted a Christmas Eve party for close friends who were also transplants to Columbia. I know this party has been going on for at least 15 years if not longer. It has been going on for so long now the kids that first started coming to the party now are bringing their own kids to the party. Over the years families have moved on and new families have come in, but it always a good time. It just isn't the same without Poppie there, but we manage and all come together to share some good food, a lot of laughs, and to make more special memories.
Christmas Eve With The Allens
Before Christmas Eve Mass and the traditional Oliver Christmas Eve party, we had the good fortune to spend Christmas Eve day with Grammi, Pie, Uncle Patty, and Aunt Chelle. We had a good lunch and everyone was spoiled with gifts. We had a good time hanging out with everyone and enjoying our families during this special season.
